I haven’t taken too many pictures at youth group lately, but I did remember the camera for our annual Christmas party. It was one part service project and one part party. We went to a nursing home and hung out, prayed with, and sang to individuals who lived there. Then we headed over to the Uhles’ for a party. The highlight of the party was our white elephant gift exchange. The kids always get way more creative than I do with their gifts. The presents ranged from a hot dog to a giant cow to the Princess Diaries on VHS.
Here are just a few pictures.
We sang Christmas carols up and down the halls. I always loved doing this around Christmastime in college and I was thankful we had a few good singers to overpower me and Tyler : )
Staring at all the wonderful gifts about to be opened!
Paul got the big gift of the day: A new DVD player with speakers. He was pretty happy, although he had to walk home with it in his arms. Don’t worry, he only lives a few houses down.
Abby was also a winner of sorts: She received the biggest and perhaps most obnoxious gift of the day. She actually loved it. She has a cow collection at home. I’m sure this *fit nicely* in her collection!
