Luca has gotten himself in a few predicaments within the past week. One of the times I came downstairs and heard Luca saying, “hep,” which is his way of saying help. Ha!
As we were watching Cars for the millionth time the other night, Luca decided he wanted to watch the movie like this. We usually only watch the beginning race and ending race. Luca sat like this for a good portion before he ventured behind the side table (his favorite place to watch TV when he knows the cars are going to crash).
I took this on my phone the other day. Maybe I should have helped him before I snapped a picture. It was just too cute.
And in other news, Luca decided to give his mommy a run for her money these past two weeks since school ended. He decided he no longer needed a nap. Except, his grumpy attitude suggested he in fact did. On this particular day (of which there have been several), I finally gave up and took Luca out of his crib. I told him he at least needed to play quietly for a few minutes since he obviously wasn’t going to sleep. This gave me some extra time to continue reading The Strong Willed Child (which I have devoured in the past week). Not 5 minutes later did I go to check on him when I found him like this (lights on and all). After a few rough days , which were probably rougher for me than Luca, he seems to finally be back on a nap schedule. Just in time for Christmas!
