We always celebrate Christmas together as a family a few days before the big day. This year the festivities landed on a Friday. Tyler finished his last day of work for the year and we made our traditional deep dish pizza. Tyler and I enjoyed the pizza while Luca ate his favorite, Fazoli’s. We then headed downstairs to open gifts. However, I must mention that there was about 5 minutes in between where Tyler and I cleaned up dinner a bit. I had told Luca we were going to go down to open gifts. While we were cleaning up, he proceeded to go downstairs and open one of his gifts. Good thing I wrapped all of his in Mickey paper. He knew exactly which ones to go for. He was so excited to see a new Cars toy he almost couldn’t contain himself.
I always love our little Christmas together. I really cherish the memories that we form each and every year and am so thankful that we are able to celebrate as a family. I pray these moments continue in the years to come.
Our tree this year. Tyler and I finally have more personalized and sentimental ornaments than generic. We try and get one every time we go on a trip. And of course we have a number of Luca ornaments, e.g., Mickey Mouse
Our pizza!
As Luca watched the pizza bake he kept saying “eat”
Enjoying dinner. We even got out the china for our holiday festivities. Also notice Luca’s stocking in the background. I ordered this stocking a year before Luca was even born (and yes, I also have an additional one for baby number two-if and when we have another). Boy was I smart to give Luca the train stocking. It fits his personality perfectly.

Helping daddy open up a gift. Luca got a bow tie that matched one of Tyler’s. The boys were in heaven.
Tyler also got a Luca’s pizza shirt from Luca and I. Since I’ve been trying to snag one since Luca was born, I was glad to finally be able to give it to Tyler two years later.
